This Whipple 180 degree right bypass assembly is designed for compatible supercharger systems where the correct bypass valve configuration is required for proper airflow control, drivability, and supercharger efficiency. In a forced-induction system, the bypass valve plays an important role in reducing parasitic loss during low-load and high-vacuum conditions. When vacuum is high, the vacuum-operated actuator opens the bypass valve to help equalize pressure through the system. When boost is required, vacuum decreases and the bypass valve closes, allowing pressure to build and move toward the cylinders.

Whipple bypass assemblies are used for remote bypass applications where space limitations, plenum shape, manifold layout, or packaging requirements call for a remote-mounted bypass valve. This configuration uses a four-bolt flange and should be matched to the correct bypass size, port style, side, angle, and application before installation.
