Product Description
Porsche didn't just bolt turbos onto a parts-bin V8 for the 958 Cayenne Turbo. Engineers took the naturally aspirated 4.8 they'd already perfected for the Cayenne S and Panamera S, opened the bore, and fitted larger radial-turbine turbochargers built to handle serious boost. The payoff was enormous: at launch, this was the most powerful series-production engine Porsche had ever put in a Cayenne, the same halo V8 doing duty in the contemporary Panamera Turbo, tasked with making a two-and-a-half-ton SUV feel genuinely credible next to sports sedans. It pulled that off.
Weistec's ECU calibration for the 958 Cayenne Turbo takes that already-formidable engine and pushes it further, purely through software. The tune is built to work with what Porsche engineered, not around it, and every factory protection, knock detection, thermal management, OEM diagnostics, stays fully active. The work is carried out to the same rigor and validation standard as Porsche's own calibration team, and on this platform that discipline pays off with an additional 90 horsepower and roughly 125 lb-ft of torque, real capability the factory left waiting in the hardware.
