Product Description
The 992.2 Carrera GTS just did something no 911 had done in over sixty years of production: it went hybrid. Its 3.6L single-turbo flat-six pairs an electrically assisted turbocharger, one that spins the compressor with a small electric motor instead of waiting on exhaust flow, eliminating conventional lag entirely, with a second electric motor built into the PDK transmission and a compact 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery. Porsche was explicit that this isn't a plug-in or an efficiency exercise. The battery exists purely to add power and sharpen response, which makes this the most mechanically complex flat-six Porsche has ever built for a 911.
Weistec's ECU calibration for the 3.6T T-Hybrid works alongside that architecture, refining the combustion side of the powertrain (boost, fueling, and ignition timing) with the same OEM-level discipline applied to every other platform Weistec tunes. The factory's protection strategies and diagnostics stay fully intact throughout, exactly as Porsche engineered them. This is still a young platform, so real-world dyno data remains limited industry-wide, but early results already point to a meaningful gain layered on top of a factory calibration that was already breaking new ground for Porsche.
