Product Description
The 991.1 Turbo carried the modern, non-Mezger 3.8-liter turbo architecture forward into an all-new chassis, refining its direct-injected, dry-sump design into a 520 hp Turbo and a genuinely reworked 560 hp Turbo S. That's a milestone in its own right: the first 911 Turbo generation where the S received meaningfully different engine hardware, not just a software bump, over the standard car, proof of how much engineering ambition Porsche poured into this platform.
Weistec's ECU tune treats that factory hardware as the strong foundation it is, recalibrating boost, ignition, and fueling to OEM-level standards rather than layering on a generic piggyback solution, and every factory protection system (knock control, thermal management, OEM diagnostics) stays exactly as engineered. Across this platform that translates to roughly 40 hp and 37 lb-ft of genuine, verified gain, real momentum added on top of what was already a thoroughly capable factory calibration.
