The Eventuri BMW G05 X5 / G06 X6 / G07 X7 M50i Black Carbon Intake System is engineered to improve airflow efficiency and cold-air delivery for BMW's twin-turbocharged N63 V8 platform. Developed from Eventuri's X5M intake architecture, the system replaces the factory airboxes with dual patented carbon fiber Venturi housings, high-flow Generation 2 filters, and additional cold-air feeds routed from the scuttle panel. This configuration provides a more direct airflow path toward the turbocharger inlets while retaining a sealed intake arrangement.
The factory intake architecture routes air from the front of the vehicle through airboxes that require approximately 180 degrees of directional change before reaching the rear-facing turbocharger inlets. Eventuri addresses this restriction by redesigning the filter housings and introducing secondary air feeds from the scuttle panel. Each reverse-mounted filter is enclosed within a prepreg carbon fiber Venturi housing that progressively reduces in cross-sectional area toward the factory turbo inlet, minimizing abrupt airflow transitions.
Each intake assembly incorporates a bespoke Generation 2 dry cone filter, aluminum inlet cowl, and application-specific mounting hardware. Eventuri's filter media is ISO-tested, while the patented housing geometry is designed to provide a more uniform airflow transition between the filter and turbocharger inlet. The carbon fiber housings are manufactured entirely from prepreg carbon fiber without fiberglass reinforcement, allowing consistent internal surfaces and precise component geometry.
Cold-air delivery is managed through twin carbon fiber air ducts that retain the factory front air feeds while introducing additional openings connected to EPDM rear air ducts. These secondary feeds route toward the scuttle panel, an area isolated from the engine compartment when the hood is closed. The supplied pre-cut center hood seal section accommodates the rear ducts and supports the sealed intake configuration.
To accommodate the increased volume of the Venturi housings, Eventuri includes a redesigned prepreg carbon fiber engine cover. The replacement cover provides clearance for the larger intake assemblies while maintaining open areas between the cover and filter housings to allow engine heat to dissipate. The factory BMW roundel is transferred to the new cover, retaining the original engine bay identification.
In addition to reducing restrictions within the intake tract, the rear-facing air feeds make turbocharger induction and pressure-release sounds more audible. The complete assembly includes silicone couplers, CNC-machined mounting brackets, and vehicle-specific components developed for integration with the factory turbocharger inlet arrangement.
