The Eventuri BMW F10 M5 Black Carbon Intake System is engineered to reduce intake restriction and improve airflow delivery to the S63TU 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8. Developed through dynamometer testing, airflow analysis, and velocity optimization, the system replaces the factory intake housings and corrugated inlet connections with dual prepreg carbon fiber Venturi filter housings, rigid carbon inlet tubes, and a dedicated front scoop and flow-deflector arrangement. Each component is designed to improve the airflow path from the front grille to the turbocharger inlets while managing exposure to heated engine compartment air.

At the center of the system are two Eventuri Venturi filter housings, each incorporating a reverse-mounted high-flow double-cone filter and an aluminum inlet cowl. The carbon housings progressively reduce in cross-sectional area from the filter toward the outlet, providing a smooth transition into the intake tubes. This geometry is designed to accelerate incoming air while limiting abrupt changes in airflow direction and cross-sectional area, reducing restriction through the intake tract.

Eventuri developed dedicated left- and right-side carbon fiber intake tubes to replace the factory corrugated flexible inlet connections. Manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, each tube incorporates a CNC-machined aluminum MAF sensor mount and maintains a circular internal cross-section through the sensor mounting region. This design avoids the internal deformation and abrupt transitions associated with conventional sensor mounting bosses, preserving a consistent airflow passage toward the factory turbocharger inlet connections.

The carbon inlet tubes connect directly to the Venturi filter housings, creating a continuous intake path between the filtration elements and the turbocharger inlets. Their smooth internal geometry eliminates the convoluted sections of the original flexible tubing, which can introduce additional resistance and airflow disturbances. By reducing these restrictions, the system is intended to improve the efficiency of air delivery to the turbochargers, particularly as airflow demand increases with engine speed and load.

To provide the filters with a dedicated supply of outside air, Eventuri developed two carbon fiber front scoops that extend from the factory duct openings toward the front grilles. Unlike conventional flat scoop designs, the Eventuri components follow the contours of the grille openings and incorporate continuous curved surfaces to redirect incoming air into the factory ducting. This geometry is designed to minimize abrupt airflow deflection while increasing the amount of ambient air directed toward the intake assemblies.

Thermal management is addressed through two laser-cut aluminum shields with integrated flow deflectors. The openings of the Venturi filter housings are positioned within these deflectors, allowing incoming air from the front scoops and factory ducts to be directed toward the filters. The shields also help separate the filter openings from surrounding engine compartment heat and displace heated air from the immediate intake area.

The front scoops, factory ducts, and aluminum flow deflectors function together as a coordinated cold-air supply arrangement. Rather than enclosing the filters within completely sealed airboxes, Eventuri uses carefully positioned filter openings and directional airflow management to supply ambient air while limiting exposure to elevated engine compartment temperatures.

Extensive development included dynamometer testing, maximum airflow velocity evaluation, and optimization of the Venturi housings and inlet tubes. The resulting intake architecture is intended to reduce resistance upstream of the turbochargers and improve throttle response. The revised filtration and inlet arrangement also produces a more pronounced induction sound under acceleration, particularly as turbocharger airflow demand increases.

All primary carbon components are manufactured from prepreg carbon fiber with a high-gloss black finish. Application-specific silicone couplers and BMW-specification hose clamps complete the connections between the intake assemblies and factory turbocharger inlet hardware. The complete system is developed specifically around the packaging and airflow requirements of the BMW F10 M5 S63TU engine.
