Eventuri BMW E39 M5 / E52 Z8 (S62) Black Carbon Plenum Lid

The Eventuri BMW E39 M5 / E52 Z8 S62 Black Carbon Plenum Lid is engineered to enhance the induction acoustics of BMW's naturally aspirated 5.0-liter S62 V8 while replacing the factory plastic plenum cover with a prepreg carbon fiber assembly. Unlike a conventional performance intake modification, the plenum lid is developed specifically to alter the resonance and sound characteristics of the original intake plenum rather than increase engine power output.

Eventuri developed the plenum lid through multiple prototype iterations using different carbon fiber thicknesses to refine its acoustic response. The resulting construction incorporates variations in material thickness that influence how the lid resonates as intake pressure fluctuations and engine speed change. At lower RPM, the S62 produces a deeper induction tone, progressing toward a more pronounced, higher-frequency intake sound as engine speed increases.

The lid is manufactured entirely from prepreg carbon fiber and is designed as a replacement for the factory plastic plenum cover. A secondary carbon fiber sealing frame provides the interface between the lid and the existing plenum assembly, while CNC-machined strengthening mounts and spacers support the mounting structure. This construction combines the acoustic characteristics of the carbon panel with the mechanical requirements of the S62 intake assembly.

The Eventuri plenum lid can be used with the factory BMW airboxes or compatible aftermarket intake systems. An optional new BMW "///M" engine cover emblem can be added through the product variant dropdown. The original M Power carbon plaque and other factory identification components are not included with the Eventuri plenum lid and must be transferred from the existing cover where applicable.
