The Eventuri Audi B9 RS4 / RS5 Black Carbon Intake System is engineered to reduce intake restriction while maintaining a controlled supply of ambient air to the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Replacing the factory airbox and convoluted inlet connection, the system incorporates a prepreg carbon fiber Venturi filter housing with an integrated intake tube, a sealed carbon air duct, and dedicated front and secondary carbon ducts. Eventuri reports independently measured gains of 11-16 wheel horsepower and 12-17 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on an otherwise stock Audi B9 RS5.

The factory RS4 and RS5 intake arrangement incorporates a flexible, convoluted inlet section between the airbox and turbocharger intake tube. Eventuri replaces this transition with a rigid carbon fiber housing and integrated tube that extends directly to the factory turbo inlet connection. The internal geometry gradually reduces the cross-sectional area from the reverse-mounted Generation 2 filter toward the outlet, providing a continuous airflow transition without the abrupt changes in section associated with the original ducting.

At the center of the system is Eventuri's Venturi filter housing, which surrounds a bespoke reverse-mounted dry air filter. The housing profile is designed to distribute incoming air around the filter and guide it through a progressively narrowing passage toward the turbocharger inlet. This geometry is intended to reduce flow separation and turbulence while providing a consistent airflow path through the intake assembly.

Managing intake air temperature is particularly important in the B9 RS4 and RS5 engine compartment, where the turbochargers and associated exhaust components generate substantial heat. Eventuri addresses this with a sealed carbon fiber intake duct that receives ambient air from the front grille region. Flexible rubber sealing edges interface with the filter housing and factory air entry location, helping separate the incoming air supply from the surrounding engine compartment.

The carbon intake duct also incorporates a secondary opening positioned toward a cooler region of the engine compartment. This additional entry provides another source of incoming air while the primary front scoop directs airflow from the grille toward the main duct. The front scoop features a continuous bend radius designed to guide incoming air into the duct opening with minimal abrupt directional changes.

The Venturi housing and integrated inlet tube are mounted to the engine, allowing the assembly to move with the powertrain under acceleration. A flexible sealing interface between the housing and stationary carbon duct accommodates this movement while maintaining the intended separation between the cold-air supply and engine compartment.

All primary intake housings and ducts are manufactured from prepreg carbon fiber with a high-gloss black finish. Application-specific laser-cut stainless steel brackets and CNC-machined mounting stubs interface with the factory rubber airbox mounts, while silicone couplers and OEM-specification hose clamps complete the intake connections.

Independent back-to-back dynamometer testing on an otherwise stock Audi B9 RS5 recorded gains of 11-16 horsepower and 12-17 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Testing was performed on the same day with the hood closed and intake temperatures monitored to maintain consistent conditions. Eventuri attributes these improvements to the combined effects of the revised airflow geometry, reduced intake restriction, and controlled cold-air supply.
