The Eventuri Audi 8V RS3 / 8Y Non-US / 8S TTRS LHD Carbon Turbo Inlet is engineered to reduce airflow restriction and thermal transfer between the intake system and turbocharger on Audi's 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder platform. Manufactured from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber, the inlet incorporates increased internal volume, a continuous airflow transition, and a thermally isolated turbocharger connection. This left-hand-drive configuration is designed for compatible Audi 8V RS3, non-U.S. 8Y RS3, 8S TTRS, and F3 RSQ3 applications.
Important: This inlet is not compatible with U.S.-spec left-hand-drive Audi 8Y RS3 models. North American 8Y RS3 vehicles use a different breather arrangement and require the corresponding U.S.-market Eventuri turbo inlet configuration.
The factory turbo inlet measures approximately 72mm at the intake connection and narrows to 56.4mm at the turbocharger outlet. Eventuri increases these dimensions to 103mm and 74mm, respectively, creating a substantially larger internal cross-sectional area. The carbon elbow incorporates a continuous curvature between the intake connection and turbo flange, reducing abrupt changes in airflow direction and minimizing restrictions associated with the original inlet geometry.
The inlet is manufactured from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber with a nominal 2mm wall thickness and a smooth internal surface. Its construction provides lower through-thickness thermal conductivity than conventional cast-metal inlet designs, helping reduce conductive heat transfer into the intake tract. A heat-reflective layer is applied where the elbow crosses the exhaust manifold to provide additional protection against radiant heat.
Thermal isolation is further supported by a CNC-machined, anodized aluminum turbo flange and an oil-resistant silicone coupler incorporating an internal spacer. The spacer separates the carbon elbow from direct contact with the metal turbocharger flange, reducing heat conduction into the inlet assembly. The carbon elbow is finished in raw carbon without a clear coat to accommodate the elevated temperatures surrounding the turbocharger and exhaust manifold.
Eventuri evaluated the inlet using a SuperFlow SF-1020 flow bench under controlled back-to-back conditions. The manufacturer reports a 42% increase in maximum airflow compared with the factory inlet when using the stock turbo flange, increasing to as much as 58% with the larger GTX flange in the tested left-hand-drive configuration. These results demonstrate the effect of the revised inlet geometry and flange selection on maximum airflow capacity.
Independent dynamometer testing by BR Performance Netherlands evaluated the Eventuri turbo inlet on an Audi TTRS equipped with a TTE700 hybrid turbocharger. With the Eventuri Stage 3 intake already installed, replacing the modified factory turbo inlet with the Eventuri carbon inlet increased measured output from 606.5 hp to 620.8 hp, a gain of 14.3 hp under the reported test conditions. Results depend on turbocharger configuration, calibration, and supporting modifications.
The inlet is designed to integrate with the Eventuri Audi 8V RS3 / 8S TTRS Carbon Stage 3 Intake System, available separately. For a coordinated engine bay finish, the Eventuri Audi 8Y / 8V RS3 / 8S TTRS Black Carbon and Red Kevlar Engine Cover is also available separately.
Turbo Flange Options
A compatible turbo flange is required for installation. The carbon inlet cannot be installed without the appropriate flange. Select the correct option from the product dropdown based on the turbocharger installed on your vehicle.
