With that in mind, we chose to build on BMW’s original design rather than reinvent it—creating a \u003cstrong\u003efactory-style carbon fiber intake lid\u003c\/strong\u003e paired with a \u003cstrong\u003ehigh-flow, reusable cotton filter\u003c\/strong\u003e that maintains stock appearance while improving airflow.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnlike cosmetic carbon pieces, these intake lids are constructed from \u003cstrong\u003e8 full layers of 100% carbon fiber\u003c\/strong\u003e, not a single cosmetic layer wrapped over plastic. Each lid is \u003cstrong\u003e1.3 mm thick\u003c\/strong\u003e, vacuum-formed with our \u003cstrong\u003eVTT logo embedded into the carbon\u003c\/strong\u003e, and finished with a \u003cstrong\u003eUV-resistant high-gloss clear coat\u003c\/strong\u003e to prevent yellowing and discoloration over time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe optional high-flow filter features a \u003cstrong\u003eheat-resistant silicone base\u003c\/strong\u003e and a \u003cstrong\u003epre-oiled cotton weave element\u003c\/strong\u003e, designed to capture contaminants while maintaining excellent airflow.
