To guarantee sustained performance with an ideal air-fuel mixture ratio, Porsche uses a very large exhaust diameter. Without assistance from the eTurbo, these larger flow cross-sections in the exhaust components would result in significant turbo lag. The electric motor drastically shortens the time required for the turbo to spool up, meaning that the full boost pressure is consistently available within a very short time. This ensures that the engine maintains the ideal air-fuel mixture ratio and still builds up torque quickly – almost immediately. In spite of this potential for high exhaust flow, gases are choked by a massive 8” GPF filter and restrictive catalytic converter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy eliminating the GPF filter and factory catalytic converter, the massive increase in efficiency from the SOUL downpipe results in \u003cb\u003ebetter response under all conditions and a noticeably harder pull throughout the power curve\u003c\/b\u003e. We have seen gains of over 50 whp and 40 ft-lbs of torque with our Performance Exhaust System and factory software (shown below) – the majority of those gains are a result of the efficiency boost in the cat section.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cimg src=\"https:\/\/soulpp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GTS-Performance-exhaust-dyno.png\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cb\u003eFACTORY INTEGRATION\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDue to deletion of the factory catalytic converter and GPF system, a check engine light will occur. With this downpipe upgrade, overall exhaust volume is increased subtly with valves closed and noticeable so with valves open.
